About Our Pastor

Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in may of 1949, he is the eldest of four brothers. In 1954 he contracted two straines of Polio (Bulbar and spinal) in Waco,Texas. Hi s doctor said that If he lived he would never be able to, attend school, drive a car, get married and have a family or have a normal life as a contributing part of society. To prove them wrong, after graduating from high school he earned a Liberal Arts degree while in college and began his working career as an entertainer singer in Santa Barbara, California. After that he

worked in sales and did seasonal work for H&R Block. Today thanks to God’s grace he is the loving husband of our beautiful Co-Pastor Sandra Jones, the proud father of four and the grandfather of four. He is a property owner both here and in California and drives his own van.

Our Pastor, John R. Jones is an ordained Minister of the Gospel of Jesus

Christ, and has been since December of 1986. Prior to that time he served in other ministries an Associate Pastor, Youth Pastor, Youth Music and Education Director, Deacon, Praise and Worship Director, Assistant Church Librarian and Sunday School Teacher. Since his ordination he has served as a Youth Pastor, Pastor of Evangelism, and a Senior Pastor.

He is convinced that each believer in the Lord Jesus is called not just to be a believer but a follower and disciple as well. Further, he believes that every disciple is called (invited by God) to be a minister of the Gospel. This is his sincere desire that each and every follower of Christ receive there call and begin to minister with words and signs and wonders! It is to this end that he

has responded and has dedicated his life to train up disciples/ministers for the Kingdom of God.
